Q:   I am trying to pay for my purchase but when I am redirected to PayPal the total showing is different than what was showing on the Girly Bits Cosmetics site. Why is this?

A:    The Girly Bits Cosmetics website is programmed to pick up the location for most countries and will show the pricing based upon that country's currency. Since we are a Canadian company, once you are redirected to PayPal you will be shown the pricing in Canadian funds. The discrepancy that you are seeing is the exchange rate difference.

Our invoice will show you the Canadian rate, however you will notice your country's currency equivalent is what will be debited from your account.

NOTE: the exchange rate fluctuates during the day so, depending upon when the exchange rate was pulled for the day there may be a small discrepency betweent the exchange rate charged by PayPal and what you saw on our site.

 

Q:   I really wanted to purchase one of your polishes but it is sold out on your site.   Is there any where else that I can purchase Girly Bits?

A:    Girly Bits Nail Lacquer is carried all over the world! You can always check our Authorized Distributors for stock on your favourite Girly Bits Nail Lacquer. Visit their sites for product availablity, release dates, pricing and shipping information.

We also do frequent Restocks on our site. If you have not already done so, sign up for our Newsletter or follow us on Facebook for restock announcements.

 

 

Q:   My order has had a status of 'Awaiting Shipment' for a couple of days now. When will it ship?

A:    When we print orders we change the status to 'Awaiting Shipment' so that we know the order has been printed and is in the queue to be packed for shipping.

Unfortunately, the status options that we have to chose from is limited and we have found this the best way for us to be able to know, at a quick glance, where your order is in the shipping process.

Checking the turn-around time on our turn-around time page is always the most accurate way to know when your order will ship by.

 

 

Q:    What are the shipping times on orders?

A:    Shipping times vary depending on the shipping option chosen upon checkout. Read more about shipping times and options by choosing a destination:

*Please remember that shipping time are approximate. The total time you should expect to see your package is our turnaround time plus approximate shipping times. Our turn around time for processing orders varies depending upon the volume of orders that are being processed and can increase during new product releases, brand launches or following vacation shut downs. You can always find our current turnaround time on our turn-around time page. We cannot guarantee a parcel will arrive on or before a specific date.

 

Q:   How do I know if you ship to my country? And how much will it cost?

A:    As a general rule we will ship anywhere in the world.   The only country that we have had reported problems with is Italy. 

After adding your prodcut to your cart you can either click on "View Cart" when it appears at the bottom of the screen or on "My Cart" in the upper right hand corner to estimate your shipping charge. You will be given different shipping options to choose from. Once you choose your country, province/state, postal/zip code and click on "Estimate Shipping & Tax". Shipping rates are calculated are based on product weight and package destination.

 

Q:   How are my countries customs and taxes charged?

A:   As per our Terms & Conditions, for our International customers, any customs or taxes incurred on your order when it enters your country will be your responsibility.   Generally, your mail service provider will collect these fees before you receive your package.

As all countries have different customs limits, if you are concerned that you will be charged customs or taxes we ask that you research your countries limits before placing an order.   Your local border or customs services should be able to assist you.

 

Q: I am interested in making my own nail polish but am having trouble finding information on the internet about how to get started. If there are any pointers that you could share it would be greatly appreciated.

A: Unfortunately there are no clear cut directions on making polish. It is a trial and error process that requires a great deal of patience. (Time and money as well if you are looking to make a living of it!)

Q:   How do I know if your glitter is solvent resistant in the nail polish base that I use?

A:   All Girly Bits glitters are listed as solvent resistant based on extensive testing done by us and according to the manufacturers conditions. As it is not possible for us to test every glitter in all nail polish bases that are manufactured it is strongly recommended that customers perform testing to ensure solvent resistancy in their own bases. Girly Bits cannot guarntee the performance of our glitters in all situations.
